The Clean Soil Bank is a significant incentive that the Mayor’s Office of Environmental Remediation offers to construction projects in OER Programs, in the State Brownfield Cleanup Program and to sites not in any government program that meet NYSDEC soil sampling frequency requirements. The Soil Bank offers the lowest cost disposal option for surplus clean soil in New York City, and for sites that need backfill, clean backfill arrives at Soil Bank receiving sites at no cost to the project.
